Welcome to Old Buckenham Players
Amateur Dramatics performed Professionally
“The Play’s the Thing”
William Shakespeare
Old Buckenham Players present This Murder Was Staged on the 21st -23rd May 2026 at 7.30 pm at Old Buckenham Village Hall; an off-beat modern comedy where everyone’s a suspect – even you!
The performance is rudely interrupted by a dead body as it turns into a real-life murder investigation. With the help of a genuine detective can they uncover the killer? Can they find anyone who likes the director? And can somebody please explain what’s going on to the leading man?
With a cast full of eccentric characters with questionable memories and motives, This Murder Was Staged will keep you guessing (and laughing) all the way to the final curtain call. Tickets only £12 each, at

And so another pantomime in the bag! Pinocchio, running in January 26 was great fun and a success. We were particulary pleased with the schools’ night which is always a great warm up act for the rest of the run.
Looking back to September 2024 when we put on a Derek Benfield comedy, Beyond a Joke, we won the NODA Eastern Region award for best drama and have finally got our sticky fingers on the certificate to prove it!
“It was comedy gold”
“The setting of the cast on the stage had been meticulously thought out”
“This was a very professionally put together production”
